Billy Goat KV series leaf vacuum

The simplest I found was to use a bagging mower, dumping every other stripe. Once I no longer had the bagger, I’ve tried everything from blowing and bagging to mowing and vacuuming with the ryobi 40V leaf vac, to running the rider in circles after leaving the grass a little high and grinding it into the ground. The mow-in-circles in taller grass worked this year. The ryobi leaf vac is an ergonomic nightmare and really doesn’t have the power to chew what it pulls up, making it both unwieldy and very persnickety to use. Whatever the method, pre-mulching is probably a good move.
I don't have a riding mower and yard is not that big and I want the exercise. But realize riding mower has more power and lift under the deck to really mulch leaves. But my Toro Timemaster gets the job done with a few passes.

My gas backpack blower had been at my summer cottage and not at my DE home. I have been using a Milwaukee hand held cordless blower. I finally brought the gas backpack blower to DE home and forgot just how much power it has. Light years more power than my Milwaukee cordless blower. It excels and blowing leaves that are in planting beds and stuck inside bushes.

My Echo gas leaf vacuum does a decent job of vacuuming mulching but the shoulder bag is not ideal.

While I am a big fan of cordless OPE there are certainly cases where the power of a gas powered OPE helps.

Not allowed to burn leaves
Luckily I can burn. I also blow and mulch in place. Mulching a lot less this season because it seems as if no matter how many passes I make with the mower I end up with a leaf layer that wants to smother out the grass before it breaks down.
I've considered a leaf vacuum.
