I will say there's a Wild West myth that you can pluck a chicken by shooting it against the grain of the feathers with a scatter gun loaded with rock salt.

There is a website called BFRO that tracks sightings of cryptid like things across the US.

I grew up in Pekin Il basically a suburb of Peoria.
According to the reports over the decades Tazwell county is a hot spot for something.

As kids all we knew about " bigfoot" was that it was apparently a West Coast thing Nor Cal, Oregon, Washington.
We never heard about any such thing in our local area.

Even at 8 years old I didnt give it much thought as anything like that could remotely be real, most likely a case of mistaken identity.

Still hugely skeptical, but am always interested to hear.

At this point with all the tech folks carry everyday and trail cams we'd have solid photo evidence by now. You'd need quite a large number for a breeding population.

There is definitely evil. As far as big foot. When I lived in Palo Cedro California I did lots of back packing and spent 30 days per year back packing in Big Foot country I never seen one, but they may have been scared away by my presence. Like aliens from other planets I have never seen one but that does not mean they do not exist.

I don't know why people can't understand that. A creature that large could not hide out indefinitely yet still breed and exist in this high tech world without solid evidence. Heck, if they want to shut down a pipeline they find some super rare sub-species of a dung beetle or something with ease. But a 8 ft. tall gorilla man can roam about for decades without any real proof? LOL.
