Well,

I've decided to try the BG flush, being at 77K and out of factory warranty and driving with BG products in the engine/fuel/coolant/power steering without any problems for the last 4 years on my M45 - I went with the Transmission Service WITH the BG Synthetic Fluid and Conditioner.

The BG machine worked off the pressure from the transmission - unlike some machines and others who've said not to force fluid out, this just measured the force from the transmission's own pump~ Took about 5 Minutes to finish.

The right side is the baseline and the left of course is the fluid after driving

I've since driven 30 miles on it from the garage and around town, considering my fluid was dirty and there wasnt any problems to begin with, only a slight slow 2-3 gear shift (a slipping feel) after the flush the 2-3 gear shift is more firm and direct ~ normal driving 1-5th gears are just like new, no slip feel, just precise and comfortable like before. I will report after 500 miles or if anything seems ary ~ Im going to drive like grandma for a while to make sure I pick up on any problems right away.

We've hooked up the Consult to the car and the temprature has dropped about 20 deg since the change~ We'll monitor it closely.

Welcome to bitog :)

But, an ATF that lists both T-IV and WS as compatible with it's fluid? Gotta wonder about that. I would have gone with the best fluid available for a luxury ride like this one...

Thanks for sharing the pics, pics are always good ~~

LOL you have the same car as me in the same exact color. Funny enough I was gonna do a transmission fluid flush soon with Nissan Matic S. I only have 37k miles on my 06 M45 which is more than twice of amount of miles driven.

Anyways thanks for the info.

Sorry, but the words BG and Synthetic together just makes me
laugh.

There isn't really much for a machine to "flush" in an ATF system that a simple exchange couldn't do.

Thanks glad to be here, I've been browsing the forums for a while now, my car was purchased in 2005 and I do drive alot. I do have S-Matic available at the shop for $7.49/qt.. I just wanted to try the BG stuff as I've seen a 06 Maxima Auto drive with it over 54k miles and no problems since; Just taking one for the team over at the Infiniti forums questioning the fluid, I've tried AmSoil in my 2004 QX56 and it was decent ~ before then the dealer used the wrong fluid with a drain and fill of my Jmatic and 3rd gear would just hold and not goto 4th; Flushed it immediately with J-Matic and it started shifting again... that was at 65k miles... then I tried Amsoil syn at 80K, I've been using the Amsoil since... have 115,000 miles.

I've had no remarkable problems with the trans before the fluid change ~ what should I look for if this fluid is not doing so well?? Slipping, hard shifts, or even worse, gears not changing?? I felt it in the QX56 ~

There is no transmission flush machine that uses the power of the flush machine to push new ATF through the transmission.

While BG synthetic ATF should be fine, you do not need their cleaner or conditioner. And they will mess up a UOA.

I have been running BG syn ATF for the past 50k in my Titan. It still looks and smells good. I am going to change it soon just to be on the safe side and will send it off to Blackstone. I know that Nissan wants matic j or the new matic s...but there are much better choices out there.

I was lurking on the Titan and Xterra forums for a while and saw lots of good BG results, and I saw your post so I took the plunge.

TO Donald:

I figured that, someone from another forum was saying don't get a flush that blasts new fluid into the transmission using compressed air, I didn't know what that was about. Also, whats UOA? thanks.

I will be sending the fluid at 1k miles to Oil Analyzers

Nevermind, I just found out what UOA meant.. Should I still send a sample over to oil analyzers or Blackstone??
