BG cooling flush

I'm having the coolant flushed on the wife's 2002 Chevy Tahoe at the neighborhood Chevy dealer.

They use the BG flush machine. Is this thing any good? Just exactly how good of a job does it do?

Also, I had a friend at work tell me that flushing machines stir up a lot of silt and wind up making the water pump leak. I think he's full of $hit.

Used it on my dad's van when I had shop class. Those machines work fine, though its really just a "fluid exchange." Mine was a Robinair branded one though.

BG is a solid company. Their machines are first cabin. BG may be a snake oil company, but they are one of the better ones.
