Tough one. I always thought Nirvana only sounded good if it was loud and grungy. A slight nod to AIC.

Well, Nirvana covered Bowie's "Man Who Sold the World" and reintroduced it to the masses, but Bowie arguably did it better.

Just happy to have lived through this-- the transition from glam rock to alternative, which happened overnight, then this stupid mush, then up to the death of FM radio.

alice.... you can see and Feel so much of what Layne was going through...
and the (somewhat haunting) vocal harmonics between he and Jerry Cantrell will always stand out.( and are a big part of what drew me to the group in the first place.)

I like them both a lot. If forced, Nirvana has a place in my heart. My business flight out of Indianapolis was canceled about 8pm and I wanted to get home for my daughter's soccer game and with no where else to go, I rented a car and drove all night. I was getting sleepy and stopped in a 24 hour Wal-Mart off the highway where I purchased Nirvana Unplugged and a Stevie Ray Vaughn CD. SRV was good but didn't really hit me. Nirvana hit me and kept me awake all night. My girl, MY GIRL tell me where did you sleep last night.

AIC. Lane's strung out, death's doorstep performance was something. When I listen to the music it hits hard.

Of course Nirvana was awesome too.
