Just changed to Mobil Super a week ago and I already can notice a difference. I've gained about 2-3 mpg highway with Mobil Super.

Call me crazy but I think it's true!

crazy. Too many changing factors to attribute the difference to one.

I wore the same shirt 3 days in a row and got better mileage.

Oil usually doesn't have that drastic of mpg improvements. Being your from SD I'm guessing you got some non winter blend or non ethanol fuel.

its that time of year -summer blend fuel and warmer temps. the air in your tires will probably be higher as well. (going into winter i usually have to inflate due to colder temps, summer I deflate to take them back down to 33psi)

Personally I don't think your crazy... I've noticed the same, although most of our mileage is done in city. I noticed it mainly in my wife's ride, the Toyota.

Many of us have seen slight gains with synthetic, but usually in the 2-3% range. Your gain seems to be more in the 10% range which no synthetic will give. Probably a combination of different things like synthetic, percentage of ethanol in gas, summer blend gas, driving style and difference in trips.

I switched Mobil 1 0W40 to various synthetic xW20 in E430 and saw 3-6% MPG increase. No measurable different between brands of the same grade.

It's because of you and one or two others that I just switched in my Lexus GS400 from 0W-40 to 0W-20. I know that I will see some gains in MPG and I hope that they are as good as yours.

This could be. I'm in Iowa (next door to SD) and my mileage just bumped up a couple notches on my last fill. I think maybe we're off the winter blend or something.

I'd be willing to bet money this is what actually caused it.

The parentheses was for everyone else's benefit! You know they say US students are struggling with geography!

I want one of those super mileage shirts. I bet they're made of synthetic fibers too. Are you a dealer?
