Best use for leftover Mobil 1?

I've decided to go back to dino in my 2500HD and my wifes Blazer,and I have 4 qts of leftover Mobil 1 10w30 from our run of synthetics. I don't want to have to buy any more M1 to have enough for an oil change,so what can I do with the leftover 4 qts?

My plan was to mix 1 qt. of M1 with each change of dino until the M1 is gone,kinda making my own syn. blend. Do you see any problems with my plan?

Go for it.

Or you could just break down and pay the $3.76 for another quart of M1 to make the last run of M1.

man I can't find M1 for much less than 5 bucks a quart here =( I'm probably going to run it in my lawnmower once it's broke in.

If you think the Mobil 1 10w30 doesn't do any good for your vehicles, why not get rid of it all in one shot? Put all 4 qts in one of your vehicles and top off with dino. You'll be done with it... and won't have to think about any more.

Seriously, that homemade synthetic blend idea is a good one. We've been doing that with our older Cadillac (sp?) and Plymouth Voyager for several years now.

I either put leftover M1 in my snowblower or my mom's Cadillac (Northstar burns a lot of oil).

If that's the case, he should get one quart of Mobil 1 15w50 and throw it all in. Good test. If that stops the noise, then he might reconsider dropping the synth.

The reason I'm switching back to dino is cost. I can buy a case of Chevron Supreme for 10$ and add a couple A/C Delco filters for another $5 and do both oil changes in our vehicles for $15 My wife and I both drive about 15K per year,and most people agree that a 5K OCI is acceptable with a good dino. So for $45 per year I can change the oil in both vehicles. If I ran an OCI of 7.5K with the M1 it would cost me $120 per year to run M1.

year.
