Best trailer tires for the long term?

I have two boats that I swear I’m always swapping tires on. Tomorrow I’m buying a gooseneck and planning to do some long hauls to Utah and back in a few weeks. It’s a 2018 trailer in great shape but no spares. I’d like to pick a couple up. What’s the defacto best tire for a 7k lb axel? I’m going to need rims as well. Any place of preference to purchase them? Something with good warranty/service?

I like Goodyear endurance , or Maxxis 8008.

I've had very good service out of the Carlstar (Used to be Carlisle) Radial Trail HD's.

The last one I bought they had upped the speed rating to 87 mph from 81.

And before everyone chimes in with 'you shouldn't tow that fast'

You are correct, however I would rather tow a 87 mph rated tire at 70mph than an 81 mph rated tire.

I've never bought them like that. Always just bought wheels and tires separate and had them mounted locally. Easier to get exactly what I want that way.

I went to a good bit of trouble to raise the fenders and put 14” wheels on my boat trailer so I could run Goodyears. All the 13” tires I could source were Chinese garbage.

Did the same for my boat and utility trailer - better tires and rims - payload and off-road “footprint” …

Another vote for Goodyear Endurance. On my second set, first set lasted 2018 to 2025 with 15-20k miles of off and on heavy towing on a single axle utility trailer.

I would never actually suggest one do this but back in my Rock and Roll Rock Band days ( late 90's ) I had what I would guess a WAY overloaded single ( possibly bent ) axle enclosed trailer that was packed FULL top to bottom with our band gear, BIG PA and lighting rig.
I would go through trailer tires like it was butter or something. I always understood you never run car radials on a trailer ( don't actually know why not ) but we were a State away from home with a huge bubble sticking out one side of the trailer tire on a Sunday and the only tire shop open had NO trailer tires so a NEW SET of steel belted low profile ( some kinda brand ) car tires was installed to get us home and I never replaced them! Those car tires was still on the trailer years later with MANY GIGS behind us and that fixed my trailer tires going bald quick problem.
