Best SAE 30 oil for CAT 3126 TA

I’m looking for a good 30wt oil for a CAT 3126 TA I think spec calls for CF-4 and CF in the same manual which is a little confusing
Cat discontinued the oil they recommended for this motor and multi weight oils clog the after coolers.

I’ve been looking at tractor supply brand travelers but don’t know anyone who’s ever used it- I know this meets CF-4

I know some folks use rotella T1 but I’ve seen some disclaimers it’s not for high speed engines, but meets CF

I’ve seen Schaefers but it’s expensive.

Any input or other recommendations

I maintain a CAT C7, which is the electronic version of the 3126. I use Mobil Delvac1 0W40 ESP in the winter and Mobil Delvac 10W30 1300 Super in summer. Never had clogged coolers. The HUEI system is another matter, can't get more than four years life out of it.

Luckily mine is mechanically injected

From what I understand because of the closed ccv loop the coking causes clogging of the aftercoolers

That sure is interesting and I'm finding it more believable now ;-) I wonder of the viscosity index improvers they used in the mult-grade oils cause the deposits?

Cat SAEO is formulated to provide optimum corrosion protection and superior deposit control.
It meets diesel engine requirements by:

- stopping the buildup of deposits in the turbocharger compressor and the
aftercooler that can reduce power and cause an increase in smoke.

- maintaining stable oil consumption within the specified oil change
interval and from one interval to the next.

- stabilizing functional chemistry throughout each service interval.

- stopping the buildup of deposits on pistons and rings that can increase
oil consumption.

- helping to eliminate the formation of deposits on pistons that are abrasive
enough to polish the hone pattern from the surface of the liners.

- preventing the clumping of soot particles that can cause an abnormal
increase in viscosity, piston deposits, or sludge.

Delvac is in CAT painted drums to DMax factory motors …
