Best road trip vehicle?

I'd favor a minivan as well but some SUVs will also work great. Also would depend on season and terrain.
I think I misunderstood the question in the initial post.

I responded with vehicles that are excellent places to spend long hours behind the wheel.

Yes RAV 4's and minivans will move you along just fine.

My vote is a RAV4. Very comfortable ride for driver and all passengers and has good space and reliable. I average 30 miles to the gallon in mine that’s non hybrid. Hybrids get about 40 miles to the gallon is what most of my friends who have them average.
My girlfriend’s Rav4 hybrid is comfortable but I’m not sure I would want to go on a long trip with her driving it. She’s a bit of a maniac behind the wheel 🤣

I've taken the Club Sport and C43 on some longer trips and my wife and I find them to be very comfortable. The Distronic Plus on the C43 is especially helpful on long interstate slogs.

Wouldn't it be much cheaper just to suck up the difference in mileage using your titan? A bit more fuel, but you already own it and have used it in the past.

Yes, but then I wouldn't have a new vehicle...and I'm trying to keep the miles off the Titan in the hope it can continue to be my boat towing vehicle for at least another decade.

Yes but if your 3000 miles from home and there is an old lawnmower on the side of the road, your going to have to strap that freebie to the RAV4 roof. I would take the Titan anyway :ROFLMAO:

I have owned MANY, Many cars and trucks, so many brands from Honda to Subaru, Ford, Volvo, VW, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Ram, Dodge, Mercedes, Nissan pluse+ I can honestly say the #1 Most Comfortable for a road trip was my wives then new Honda Odyssey Minivan.
Was the ONLY car I could drive 7 hours and feel like I could get back in and drive the 7 hours back home with no issue.
Not sure if it was the seat, seat hight but was the only car that didn't make me tired to drive.
My 2nd choice was my old School 1985 Oldsmobile, That thing was a Rolling Sofa built for comfort NOT for speed.
The worst car I have owned for a trip was my Dodge Hellcat manual trans. Fun car but very tiring to drive and uncomfortable.

A friend of mine was an F-14 pilot and Navy captain. While all the other go-faster pilots were driving 'vettes, he was driving an older Chrysler minivan piled full of stuff. Piled full as in you had to move stuff to sit in the front passenger seat with him it was so full of stuff. Very not typical and he was often ribbed about driving such a housewife car. But he love that thing.

The old low seated 2wd suburbans with a bench were comfortable and less irrating to get in.

Ours was a 20/21mpg highway vehicle which is “good enough “. Could tow as well, simple design to repair
