Best road trip vehicle?

@6.7 CTD I too agree. I did a 3000km round trip from the prairies to the coast. I aired the tires down and it road as good as a 1 ton could. But, the power, relative fuel economy for a large truck and very roomy. That thing with its power and exhaust brake was an absolute beast through the rockies. Albeit, it sucked in large cities....

And ESP 0w30 to boot.

My vote is a RAV4. Very comfortable ride for driver and all passengers and has good space and reliable. I average 30 miles to the gallon in mine that’s non hybrid. Hybrids get about 40 miles to the gallon is what most of my friends who have them average.

If you ever get the chance to mile out a 90's LS400 that's been well maintained, the instant you pull the door closed and hear that sound, you know you're encapsulated in greatness...

Eh I like my Mercedes better. Roomy trunk for junk. Plenty of room for adults and/or kids. Very cushy highway ride. Premium sound. Comfortable seats. Heated seats in Winter. And, ta da, my 5,000 lb car gets 36mpg on the highway.
Wife had a RAV4 once. Traded it for a BMW X3 after 3 years.

I never thought of you that way haha 😆. Man trading a RAV4 for a BMW I could never live with myself lol. But I’m not a luxury car fan either so there’s that too. That stuff is all too expensive for my blood, I need high end deodorants and soaps instead 🤣.

Wife's choice. You don't have that motivation ----- yet. :ROFLMAO:
But to make you feel better about my car preferences, I did drive Deuces and 5 Ton trucks in the Marine Corps about 100 years ago. I even had a '69 Lemans convertible and a Yellow Camaro once.
