I can't find metal containers. I can only find plastic and don't know how to figure out the dates. Need to do a few motorcycles and last time I did it we accidentally got old fluid and the brakes were worse than when we started.

A BMW dealership will sell fluid in a can but I expect it's $$

ATE super performance brake fluid. Comes in metal containers. Use it for my RX-7 racecar. You used to be able to purchase it in blue and amber to help with flushing. Apparently blue brake fluid isn't on the approved color list for DOT.

BMW sells only BMW-branded ones, which is usually the same stuff. Same price.
