Best place to get cheap auto parts in Canada?

Is there another Rock Auto that I'm not aware of, or do you live in the Evil Spock universe where everything is like the opposite of this universe? I tried to order some stuff from Rock Auto once and the shipping to Canada was many hundreds of dollars and many times over the cost of the actual product. It filled me with sadness. :(
Some large or heavy parts have unrealistic shipping prices, and yes you need to play the same shipping warehouse game when ordering multiple parts in one order. The strut I ordered would have been $200.00 in shipping if ordered on the same invoice, by ordering them separate they shipped for $48.00 each. Not sure why but that's how it was.

I've all but given up on pick a part places for the exact reasons you gave.

Parts Avatar?

They even advertise themselves as the Canadian alternative to Rockauto

Also, Napa stores in Canada carry Pennzoil Platinum Gear 75w90 GL4 manual transmission fluid, which is essentially unavailable in the US.

I've ordered from Parts Avatar before and it was fine. But their selection is nothing like Rock Auto. The parts I'm looking for at the moment they don't carry.

Rockauto and Amazon here. I try to put together the parts from a single warehouse to minimize shipping and buy things I can't from Amazon.

For widely available parts and not too pressed for time: Partsavatar as they have decent pricing, free shipping over $50, and ok shipping time. Have used some of their white box parts and no issues.

For clearance parts that are not heavy and I don't need right away: Rockauto. The game they play with various shipping warehouse is annoying to me and heavy items kills the shipping cost.

Tires: Canadian Tire ONLY if on sale and Quattro tires out of Quebec (often with free shipping or $20 shipping to Alberta). Costco is nearby, but their tire selection is limited and long wait time for installation.

If last minute and cost doesn't matter parts due to urgency: Canadian Tire/Partsource, Napa , Auto Value, dealership

I try to avoid eBay or Amazon.ca as parts are limited and too much fakes to sort through. Often long shipping time from eBay.

Our 2008 Ford Focus gets lot of parts from local Pick & Pull. Many cars available there and I get to practice dismantling on their cars first before working on ours. Most parts have been still good as OEM and still working after 4 years.
