I have a 1995 vette with lt1 350 motor, 300 hp 345 tq, auto trans, 46000 miles. the mgf. say mobil 1 5w30. the lt1 run hot from the factory to meet emmisions the cooling fan dosent come on to 228. I also live in florida. Mostly daily driving with a little spirited driveing, What would be the best oil? Also any trans and rear diff recomendes? and what about additives for all 3, rear diff says use GM Limited Slip Differential Additive some people say 1 4oz bottle some say 2. also any fuel additives. thanks for any help

There is no "best" oil for all circumstances.
I would think that any quality 5w30 would fill any and all needs in your area. If you want to use synthetic, that's fine; choose your favorite brand, as all the major players will more than fit the bill.

I have a 1994 Corvette LT1 with 52k miles. Has had Mobil 1 since factory fill. Mobil 1 in the trans and axle too. I am happy. I do use 10w30 though when I lived in a colder part of the country (MD) I used 5w30 in the winter. You are correc the coolant fans come on at 228 but if yours is like mine it drops right back down to around 212 in no time.
Synthetic IS required per 4718M spec. Mobil 1 high mileage 10w30. This is their stoutest 30 weight.

Yes it is. Any thing that says Mobil 1 on it is a synthetic.

If i had the money, id look for a ZR1. hat is still my favorite Vette.. the last of the C4s. Never had one, but with or without Lingenfelter Supercharging.. Ohh MAN! Black.. Yes!

All 'M1' oils are synthetic.
All other Mobil oils have other names, but the DON'T use the '1' in them - that's saved for their flagship product.
Mobil Clean 5000, Mobil Clean 7500, and Mobil 'High Mileage' are all conventional or blended oil.

You're thinking is VERY out of date. You need to read up on modern oils.
A 'Vette would most likely be fine on a modern API SM 10w30 conventional in it, they are that good.

I have a 95 as well- 6 speed. 58K miles
Changed the trans to Amsoil synchromesh 5-30 and the differential got Amsoil Severe Gear 75-90. One bottle of posi additive was used, although I do not think iti s mandatory if using Amsoil Severe Gear.After the fluid change, you would think it was a different car-much quieter.
My particular LT1 does not like Amsoil Full Synthetic 5-30--much much noiser at idle (valvetrain)in fact, it is the quietest on dino.
I will be refilling next month with PZL Platinum 5-30

Mobil, Amsoil or Redline 5W30 should fit the bill nicely.
I would haunt the vette forums.
my LT1 Camaro has Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 spiked w/ 5oz LC20 and 4 oz Redline break in additive, T56 has MaxLife ATF, rear has DuraBlend 80W-90 no LSD additive since it's a torsen.
you can also re-program your PCM and have the fans come on earlier if you want. i went back to my 190F tstat since i do short trips

I agree with this guy, I like the Mobil 1 High Mileage 10w30. I'm currently running it in my 97 LT1 and its pretty smooth. I've ran German Castrol and Pennzoil Platinum previously. I haven't done an oil analysis while on the Mobil 1 High Mileage yet though.
For the auto trans I run Pennzoil Dex III.
For the rear I just went to GM and picked up the quarts of lube and the LSD additive.
