Best Noack oil for oil consumption?

Get a name brand high mileage oil that you can find, preferably something like Mobil 1 Extended Performance High Mileage 0w20. You can run an extended OCI of ~15K+ if you get a high mileage filter along with it. Your engine runs very clean so this should not be an issue. That should get you through any supply issues over the following year.

I was considering going to a 0w30

Which brand is best at resisting burning off? 2014 Honda crv 195,000+
It all depends on the how much money you want to spend. First, I would run four oil change intervals of a minimum 4,000 miles each (16,000) miles minimum of the Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30. If you don't have worn out and/or broken parts in your engine, it could help reduce your oil consumption and clean it up too. Don't use the Valvoline Restore and Protect a couple changes and start complaining, follow the rules and it will usually help, unless the engine actually needs an overhaul to fix it. The Valvoline Restore and Protect 5W-30 has a HTHS of >3.2. That is not bad, most 5W-30 API rated oils run between 2.7-2.9 HTHS. The HTHS on the Mobil 1 ESP 0W-30 is >3.5 because it has the Euro ACEA C3 rating which requires a HTHS of>3.5 on a 30-weight oil. You could run the Valvoline Restore and Protect until the day you junk the car if you want as the cleaning of the piston deposits and varnish is just a side effect of using it. It is a fully formulated engine oil and has a pretty robust additive package. If you are after a great NOACK number, and money is not an issue, join Amsoil and use their 5W-30 Signature Series, it has a very low NOACK of 6.7. The membership costs $20.00 a year and a quart of that oil would cost $12.89/quart at the member discounted price, free shipping to your door. First, I would take care of the oil consumption issue though. No, I don't sell Amsoil, but it is probably a great oil.

AMSOIL Signature Series, any viscosity.
I’d want to know the OP’s current rate of consumption because AMSOIL Signature Series would get real costly if excessive top off is needed or even if they aren’t extending the interval. That said, the AMSOIL Signature Series Noack numbers are better than most any OTS PCMO you’ll find in a retail location.

I agree with @GI_GRIFF on this being a potential candidate to run Valvoline Restore and Protect for the “4 minimum consecutive” intervals. Pause and reassess oil consumption rate prior to and by the end of interval 4; go from there.

Some users have gone to negligible or no consumption on Valvoline Restore and Protect. At that point, it becomes clear that the Noack test isn’t the most important factor for oil usage in of itself. Engine health is more important.
