BEST BROWSER?

What 'new' Yahoo email? I've been using it for years and haven't seen any significant changes except for layout tweaks and general pretty-ing it up.

Yahoo Messenger is new. Mail hasn't changed.

What do you mean IE is not being supported?

Microsoft has ended mainstream support for IE11 but security updates, patches, fixes, etc... will continue on for a long time. You can keep using IE11 and be fine.

If you mean on Yahoo don't worry there either as IE11 still works. They just make you use the Classic Yahoo mail version now with IE11 which frankly I prefer over their newer one which is so full of ads and such.

No need for you to swap away from the browser you like. However, if you feel you must swap then look at Edge( if you are using Windows 10 )or Firefox.

If you were swapped back to the Classic Version of Yahoo mail recently because you were using IE11( happened to me too )you have to manually swap back to the new( advanced? )Yahoo mail once you swap to a new browser that supports their new mail system/version. Look on the top right corner of your list of e-mails and you will see where it says to swap to the new version. Click that and it will swap you over. It does not automatically make the change just because you swapped browsers. IF that message isn't there than the browser you are using is not supported.

I've run Firefox on Mac and Windows.

Chrome scares me a bit if Google is watching, but that said, it seems like the top popular choice and probably has more money behind it than any other browser.

At the 2016 Pwn2Own hacking contest, Chrome was the toughest to exploit. It survived one attack and was partially hacked by another attack. Safari and Edge were both successfully hacked. Firefox wasn't even in the game because sponsors felt it was too easy to hack. In 2015 it was the easiest to hack and essentially implemented no important security improvements over the last year.

If you like the browsing experience of Chrome you can use Chromium: It is lacking (built-in) Flash and PDF support (both can be installed afterward) and does not "phone home" to Google.
