I have decided to get some high quality solid brass quick connectors for my outside garden hoses. I also want brass shut offs and one of those brass skinny nozzles that you twist on and off. What are the "best" brands? Dramm, Dixon, Garrett Wade, World's Best? Pros and Cons of each?

I have been happy with the brass quick-change garden hose fittings at Home Depot. I think they have two brands, but they are interchangeable.

Brass corrodes, which can gum up the fittings, but it's tolerable, and usually easily cleanable. It's just not a perfect solution. Stainless steel might be, but I don't know anyone who sells these fittings made out of stainless steel, and going to stainless steel AN hydraulic fittings seems like overkill.

Good luck!

Nelson for water, Milton for air.

Home Depot are junk. Don't even think about plastic.

Been at this many years. Pay a little more get the good ones that don't leak and last.

Not fond of that type of nozzle. I like the all metal trigger type.
