I have been searching this site, and a few others for some data... Read a few things about GL5 vs J2360 and my conclusion is that J2360 is one of the most rigorous standards. Only a handful of oils are able to meet this J2360...

Shell International Petroleum Company, Ltd. PRI GL 0909 Pennzoil Platinum Axle Oil 75W-140 SAE 75W-140

I have not been been able to find any of these local- though i thought it was interesting that Pennzoil Platinum Axle was on the list...

Does any one have any online leads for these products? If this gets too painful ill just go to Redline from Amazon...

I would be curious to see any other information folks have gathered on this weight oil.

Thanks!

So if you want to walk into a brick and mortar.. here is what you can get with the J2360 in 85w140..

From Autozone: "Exceeds All GL Classifications, API GL-4, API GL-5, API MT-1, SAE J2360 MIL-PRF-2105E, MACK GO-J, PG-2 Limited Slip"

https://www.autozone.com/greases-an...ty-gear-oil-sae-85w-140-32-oz/693859_0_0

To add to my original post.. This product lists J2360 on the bottle, also listed in the description at Autozone. However NOT listed on the website.

https://lucasoil.com/pdf/TDS_Lucas-SAE-85W-140.pdf

From Walmart: "Recommended where API GL-5, API MT-, SAE J2360, MACK GO-J, MILF-PRF-2105E (PG-2) are specified"
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Super-Tech-Full-Synthetic-Gear-Lubricant-75W-140-1-Quart/16795247

To add to my original post. This product does not list J2360 on the bottle, does not have a website except for Walmart.com and it is listed there.

So in summary I would probably go with the Lucas.. just for the paper trail of ink on the bottle and website description... even though they thrive on marketing they didnt have time to post that spec on their website..

I have no idea how the guy who typed in the description at Walmart knew to type in that spec... perhaps Warren provided them a sheet.. but did not have the time to print it on their bottle.

MAG 1 75w140 full synthetic meets J2360 according to their website and is reasonably priced to get a case from Amazon. Probably uses one of the above mentioned Afton or Lubrizol add packs. I use it in my Jeep and have no complaints
