I never buy filters from AZ/OR unless I have to, but I need to work on a friend’s car. Brakes, LOF. I also had $20 in AZ Rewards to use up. Decided to grab a filter for one less stop and a jug of oil.

This will be going onto a Genesis G80 3.8L V6, I believe HyunKia sources filters from Mahle Korea - it does look like the OE filter. I think I did well for $18 pre-tax after cashing in my reward. The funny part was the “standard” blue box STP had plastic end caps, this is the same as the “eco” M+H/Mahle cartridges.

What are the chances it's from another mfg but just happens to be identical and same small country ? ,. Also has e-core.

If I do the future oil changes on this, I think so. Haven’t called the Hyundai dealer to check on pricing.
