And the forum is clearly drastically changed (see my member number, Im one of the early posters)

Its prolly been discussed, but I cant find it - whatever happened to 'bob' and who exactly runs/owns the show now?

when the forum changed did the old posts get archived anywhere?

Bob sold the board to Tony who, unfortunately, died a few years ago after a short illness.

Tony's wife Helen is keeping the board afloat.

I hope Bob is okay as he hasn't posted in quite a while.

I would contact WWilson, the board administrator as far as archived posts are concerned.

We have all gotten a lot older.

Bob sold the board to Tony (RIP) and his wife Helen owns the board.

Everyone on the Admin/Mod team are "running" the board now. You've got me beat by a few weeks!

FYI, Bob is alive and well and participating on a different site now.

Bob had some SERIOUS health issues and decided to sell the board at that time to Tony who did so to keep the board going.

There are a few posts missing from the 2002-2004 time frame when we ran on the old Perl based system - UBBClassic. All posts since we upgraded to the SQL database are safe and sound. We keep the entire database and indexes cached in memory for performance. As the database grows we just keep adding RAM to the server. Because of this we don't have to archive any posts/threads.
