Read this thread. I still use the first one I bought years after I posted this and it still works like a little champ. It is hard to find now and certainly not for the $39 I paid for them but there are alternatives for small rotary units.
You need to practice of junk stuff for a while but with the foam pads we have today and the low speed this can run at it is perfect for beginners and pro alike.
It has electronic speed control which maintains the speed regardless of pressure on the pad.

I believe SPTA made this unit and they have a similar unit with similar features. One of these with 3m yellow bottle compound and finish with 3m ultra fine polish is all you need to get fantastic results without playing around all day. Again you need to practice on junk before attacking your DD but its worth it.
