Optima Jim, Thanks a bunch for the offer and explaining how to charge optimas,
I hooked my optima blue in parallel to a good battery and then put on my charger, it charged up to 12.8 V, then I unhooked it and waited an hour and took the voltage again, 11.6,
I hooked it back upto my charger on desulphation mode, it is still going at it.
I fully charged the batt before I stored my camper and pulled the kill switch,which means no current draw.
my frustration, not pointed at optima but most retailer/manufac warranty process is that required original dated store receipt and most of the time you have to take it back to the retail outlet where it was bought, well I bought mine in OHIO, hence my inclination towards sams/costco, where I just walk in a batt, scan my card and walk out with another, sometimes pay a prorated $$.
I saw in the video the charger being used was a CTEK charger, can someone pls explain what makes it special?
Pablo, I called carquest here in Grand Rapids, they only carry wet cell and not agm house brand batt made by DEKA. but still a great deal.
