I am of the opinion that he is guilty of using some kind of illegal enhancement. I think there should be an asterisk next to his name in the record books. Of course this is just my opinion. I know he is in America and is not guilty until proven guilty and I agree with that but the fact that he hit more HR's after the age of 35 than the did in the same time frame of the rest of his career speaks volumes that there is something more to the story. But the fact remains the same that he is the HR record holder for now. I do like that he did not even want the ball back after the game and Hank Aaron was of course as respectful as always with the message he delivered. So what do you all think?

Hank is a man. A-Rod will pass Bonds.

Bonds was juicing, people's entire features just don't change like that in a few years span. To think the sham that is pro sports will ever be 'roid free is Pollyanna at best, but since it's all fantasy anyway, why not?

PS To say Bonds was/is juicing is racist, btw.

the record is tainted regardless of whether bonds did steriods or not. the entire last decade of baseball is tainted. baseball made no effort to enforce any policy regarding drug use.

bond should quit now and leave it a tie. he should have stopped one hit short of hank's record.

LOL yeah that always cracks me up when people say that. Especially when Hank is being honored and defended at the same time. But you are right Hank was/is the man.

He's just an arrogant millionaire like most of 'em. Can't stand him. Its a shame the Hank Aaron's are gone from the sport. If anything though..Hank Aarons stock just went up bc of this baffoon.

"I know he is in America and is not guilty until proven guilty" .....

Nobody gets proven guilty anymore, they all get acquitted over a technicality !!
I say make Bonds the winner of the Tour de France and be done with it.

A cheater is a cheater. I don't care if he hits 1,000 home runs.A-Rod's name has come up as juicing as well.

I agree and what gets me this morning is there is someone on the Mike and Mike show arguing that taking steroids is not cheating! He does say a corked bat is cheating but says steroids is not. I am trying to catch this idiots name but have not yet. He says that you are knowingly going after a corked bat to gain an advantage but taking steroids is different?

I think there are some morons out there who would defend Michael Vick as well. The whole idea of BALCO was to manufacture steroids that were undetectable. They new what they were doing was wrong on many levels.

A: How about "self serving egotistical jerk?"

LOL I think thats definitely an opinion!

In the rare moments that Bonds is not surrounded by his posse of a__ kissers, he will know deep down that he will never have the respect and admiration for which Aaron possess. Aaron will remain the "Homerun King" no matter Bonds record.

x2! I just have no respect for him... and as for him getting indicted, don't hold your breath. Everyone nowadays seems to be scared to come out with convictions and stand up for what is right and true. Just the nature of the beast I suppose... This world ain't gettin' any better.

I don't like him at all and agree with most of you BUT, he is still hall of fame material despite taking illegal substances. So take 200 hr's away from him, the guy is still very good. He's a great fielder.

Before a game in SF where players were signing autographs a group of kids in their little league uniforms stepped in front of Bonds and held up pictures of Bonds with their Sharpies and he turned his back and walked away. As he walked past me he said to no one in particular that hanging around here was not in his contract. The adult with the kids was dumbstruck. The adult woman, maybe the guy's wife looked and me and said, "what an ----____!!!". I agreed.

You just have to accept that this is what the league wants and approves, the use of drugs to improve performance and ignoring the young fans. After the game Bonds was signing autographs in one of the hospitably suites but only if you paid him. I asked one of the Giants employees about the incident with the kids and he said that they were just being setup by adults to get the autographs to be sold. I told him that I saw it happen and they were just young fans that wanted an autograph. He said that was just tough, that Bond's time and autographs were far to valuable to be wasted on a bunch of kids.

If you have aspirations to become a professional athlete and got hooked on drugs in college sports than baseball is the place for you. You won't even have to go to the street corner to get your fix. And you don't have to bother with those annoying fans. And the league will protect you.
