They are excellent filters, have been using them since I was a teen. They are built like little tanks.

+1 for baldwin their tech support is also very open about their filter specs. I have been trying to use more baldwin for equipment because of this.... its just so dang easy to throw a wix or 2 in with a rockauto order.... Now if only rockauto would start to carry Baldwin.

Really! - I was there about a week ago looking around (rockauto.com) at Yaris oil filters - they had a few different Baldwin ones there (???) There were 2 that would fit the Yaris (B33's) They were listed as wholesaler closeout. I had never seen them there before, I wished they had 6 or 10 or more, it would have been worth the shipping for sure. They were marked 1.22 each. Just did a part number search there:
part Number (leave blank)
manufacturer: baldwin
part group: engine
part type: oil filter

2 - B131's listed @ 1.22 each

2 - P106's listed @ 3.05 each

I did find the ones in the photo at a truck stop off I-40 in North Carolina last April 9 while out and about on my birthday. Had a cardboard bin of them at 3.00 each!

yeah they get some odd balls in through their wholesaler closeouts... Definitely a deal if it a filter you use.

Just wish they offered the whole baldwin catalog like they do wix... you can do a wix part # search for anything and rockauto will have it. I have done that with heavy equipment filters (coolant, fuel, hydraulic, engine oil ect) they even have filter bases.. you just need to know what wix number to search for.

Thank you sir. At my age, the only thing worse than having a birthday is not having a birthday at all.

I run Baldwin filters on my G8 exclusively. Price is good, can often be found for $5 online. Can is very stout. Build quality is better than most other filters I have used in same price range. I often hit 70+psi at WOT and these baldwins take it all in stride.

If anyone wants, I will be changing oil on my car soon after the next dyno day. I can cut it open for you. Will have ~2000mi of PU 5w40 on it

Yep, appear to be solid construction filters. Though based on information posted here in the past from their technical staff, not generally rated that efficient. Not that readily available, at least for me.

And contrary to the self proclaimed redneck engineer in the yt, the adbv is nitrile not silicone.

Saw my first Baldwin on a Case IH that was getting serviced yesterday. By far one of the best looking filters made IMO with the exception of the high performance Fram.

Just from what I've read here, they seem very comparable to the WIX/ Napa Gold.. with the exception of the nitrile ADBV.

I use them on everything I own. From my John Deere heavy equipment, Komatsu equipment. Atlas Copco equipment, Ford, Isuzu, Freightliner, Volvo trucks and even my light equipment mowers and welders. There is an industrial parts and supplies dealer 15 mins from me that is a Baldwin master disruptor.

They've been in business forever. Im sure if they were cheap, they would get alot of failures over the years and lawsuits behind them ! Basically, they are a reputable filter from my internet reading..

Heck yea... bring that cut up, bad boy on !!

Totally different mindset with Baldwin, Hastings, and Donaldson.

High quality, serviceable products.

With the exception of Wix (NAPA), oil filters at the neighborhood auto parts joint can't compare.
