Just wondering how good Baldwin air filters are?

In my experience no better or worse than any of the other brands. Just a little more pricey.
Why is it that air filters bore me so? Unlike oil filters there's just not that many variables and arguments. Forgive me if I'm wrong but if it fits your housing well and traps dirt, then the cheapest one is the way to go. Baldwin is good, just like Fram, STP, and Purolator.

I was going to list a bunch of reasons why they're NOT boring, and how they may be even more important than the oil filter because they're the most important line of defense the engine has against the vagaries of the outside world and such, but, you're right - they're boring....
Maybe if this site was Bob Is The Air Guy, we'd be more enthralled with 'em.

I was going to list a bunch of reasons why they're NOT boring, and how they may be even more important than the oil filter because they're the most important line of defense the engine has against the vagaries of the outside world and such, but, you're right - they're boring....

why not list the reasons? i'm kinda curious to what they are and i'm sure there are other out there that also want to know ^_^

I agree that they are more important than the oil filter. I just can't really think of anything like, IDK, to argue about

Ohh, here's one; I think K&N air filters are overpriced!
I bought one last year for the Jeep, very good quality, the amount of paper was decent, the thing I liked the most was the gasket, nice snug fit, I would not hesitate to buy one again, Baldwin (Hastings also) do not produce any Air Filters they are all outsourced.
