Balancing wire wheels

Not watching a youtube video but mount it like a steel wheel. Thats how I balance 95+ percent of the wheels that come through my shop.

It's only a couple minutes

Basically when I tried to balance it like a steel wheel it wouldn't spin straight on the machine. I'll try again but it seems that the way the wheel is made that making it centered would be difficult.

Would a wire wheel need to be “trued” as well as balanced?

Yes I did go through and tune the spokes. There was a couple that wouldn't move but most did tighten up and on the car they don't spin to bad on the lift so I think they'll ride ok if they'll balance.
