Bad transmission mount?

Recently replaced The motor mounts on my 2003 Corolla, Which eliminated I'd say about 90% of the vibrations. However when I put it in reverse and reverse only there is significantly more vibration than in drive.

I replaced the transmission mount a month or two ago and remembered that it was not an OEM mount.

Does does the above symptom sound like a transmission mount? I have one of two options I could either put the old transmission mount back on and see if it makes a difference although it has 250,000 mi on it. Or just bite the bullet and get an OEM transmission mount for about $100.

I know it won't hurt anything, but it does drive me crazy!

Thank you!

Mounts can be a real pita. Especially cheap ones or when mixing brands or when not doing all at once.

I would put the old one in and see what happens. Cheapest option and will probably give you the biggest clue to vibration source.

The joys of aftermarkets parts. Not that it doesn't happen with OEM - but it seems less likely.

Is it too late to return the aftermarket mount?

Follow up on this:

Went ahead and got the OEM transmission mount. Installed it today and I'll be darned that was it! Made a huge difference I would call it smooth now.

It's been a good reminder for me too, certain parts best just to go with OEM, as that transmission mount on there before was brand new just aftermarket. Just goes to show the quality difference.
