Yeah it was quite a storm this weekend! Tornadoes, thundertorms, lightning, heavy rain, hail, flood. You name it. Very dark skies like at 10pm at 4pm! It's not raining now and I'm going out, hopefully things will be ok. Yesterday it was flooding in the place where I'm heading. My relatives were stuck in the basement of downtown theater for a few hours. They say it's still gonna rain next week.

That line of storms went through here in Wichita a little while ago- nothing came of it.

But the insurance company cut me a check for some hail damage about a week ago.

Ok I was wrong, my trip didn't turn out as good as I hoped:) When I exited my house it already started raining pretty bad, then skies turn darker and darker and it started pouring HARD and I mean shower H A R D!!! It was rainng like that for at least 30-40 minutes. Than it stopped pouring as hard but it was still raining pretty badly. When I exited the car and got home it started pouring real hard again, so I somewhat lucky:) It was quite a trip.

They say tommorow will be rainning again but not as strong, I hope so. I never witnessed anything quite like this here before. This winter was pretty bad and beat some of the all time snow records. Maybe there is a connection.

They said on the news about a week ago that we entered hurricane season and there should be about 9 major storms in America.

Just got a touch of it on the west side of Detroit around dinner time, then it was clear the rest of the evening. Detroit's northern suburbs got hit a lot harder and have power outages. I heard two Michigan people were killed by trees, one was in a car.

Some places in Southern MN and central WI got up to 6 inches of rain over the weekend.

"It's floodin', down in Tex...er...Minnesota?, and all the telephone lines are down"
