Bad Experiences With Ultimatetruck/AFE

AFE on-line price for 31-10149 is US$46.00 and Ultimatetruck is US$39.95. Wrote to AFE and they reply price policy terms. Order 2pcs from Ultimatetruck no stock but was informed AFE has to custom make.
Ultimatetruck emailed with tracking nos but was shocked and surprised to learn AFE had shipped in two packages to my US address. The weight of each package is 2.5kg and total for 2 filter with box weight 5.0kg. My shipping cost about US$35 is very much higher than AFE ship International.
Why didn't AFE wrapped together in a box. Is this a practise for all US merchants to ship with multiple packages. Just a bad experience shopping on line.

I tried to order 2 AFE Pro Dry Filters from Ultimatetruck: 11-10065 for 2004 Honda S2000 and 31-10084 for 2000 Mercedes Benz E Class, ground shipping is free for both filters.

You should contact Ultimatetruck asking them why you are being charged $35 for shipping. How much was shipping on your receipt ?

AFE ship 2 packages to my US address resulting in substantial cost for shipping to Singapore. Though ground shipping is free, AFE should wrap 2 filter in a single box to save shipping cost to Singapore but the filter pack in a box is big resulting volumemetric weight charge to me for shipping.

It is normal for a US company to send 2 items in 1 shipping box if both items are in stock from the same location. However, the items you ordered were not in stock, so most likely AFE was sending you the filters as they acquired them in an attempt to give you better customer service (it is more expensive for them to do this!)
