Me thinks the doc's insurance should kick a few bucks at the dude who ain't really dying.
Messing with a guy's fututre that way.... doing things he would not otherwise would have done.... well,
maybe the medicos will require a second opinion next time.
Docs do bury their mistakes.
Here in the USA, the AMA polices itself and does a very poor job of it.
Utter incompetency allowed to carry on for years and decades with no removal of the medical license.
One study indicted that 5-percent of doctors committed the majority of serious to fatal errors. The same bunch, over and over.
Sheep bleat about the incompetent teachers that are so hard to remove. But, the brainwashing of placing medicos on pedestals allows the bad docs to continue on.
It's surprising how few docs try to keep up with the newest treatments and to shun treatments that have been proven ineffective or downright damgerous.
Wanna' know where the average doc gets the latest medical info? From drug salespeople. Think about it.
It's a jungle out there and there is collusion between docs, corporations, hospitals, etc. to keep the public uninformed and easy pickings.
When have you ever seen a menu of prices for various routines so you could shop for services? Dentists, hospital, doctors; they are a monopolistic industry that has set barriers that harm the consumer.
