Looking for a good backpack leaf blower for homeowner use?

Don't want to get too crazy on the price, but I don't want a piece of junk either.

Thanks

My first choice would be an Echo. Mine is very well made. and also very forgiving of less than perfect maintenance.

are you looking to blow large amounts of leaves with it? If not then go on ebay and find a used 26cc Echo backpack blower (sorry, I do not know the model #). This engine will last forever (and so will the rest of the blower).

If you need to move large piles of leaves then go with a 50+ cc blower. Most pros around here use Stihl, Echo, or Shindaiwa

Stihl BR 500, BR 550 or BR 600 Magnum

It won't be used for too much leaf blowing, just general clean up.

I've seen a few Echo PB-500H blowers for sale on Ebay, is that good machine?

I like Echo products. Mostly due to the fact that even the cheapest Echo's still use the best, commercial quality engines. AND, parts/service is available anywhere. Plus a good warranty.

Stihl makes great professional products. But the Stihl homeowner line is nothing special. Same goes for Husqvarna.
