Back in the 60s, Royal Triton

Back in the 60s and early 70sI used an oil called Royal Triton. In poured out of the bottle purple in colar and at the time seemed to be a good product. Does anyone remember this oil, and where did you use at?

It was a Union Oil brand, later Union 76. The color was a dye.

ConocoPhillips owns the trade name and still uses it.

Parafin oil the best!!!

I used it all the time in my '70 VW Bug when I was growing up in Milwaukee. 10w30 flavor in winter.
I thought it was cool being purple. I alternated that with Sears Spectrum.
 
I used it in 2007 and it produced excellent results.
