Please, no one panic...I am conferring with the diminutive ones...we don't quite know what to make of this...there have been no warnings...a command center has been set up in the Black Forest at an undisclosed location...the intelligence agents are out...I may have to make a trip to the Old Country...Schnitzel and Heffe Weisen always brings clarity to a troubling situation...

this thread scrared me into another GC run- just scored 26 more quarts today at $4.39/ea.
I have a hard time understanding why the german bottles, the US made bottles, and all the different "spec" bottles (green vs gold) are being inventoried as the same product, and all kept on the same shelf, it seems to me, they should be sold as different products.
maybe they should even "market" what the oil is on the front. They should actually change the front of the german bottles to read "German Castrol Syntec 0W30" and inventory them separate the US stuff. The stores should also be separating the new gold from the old green onto different shelves too, some unsuspecting person could end up buying oil that doesn't meet the specs required by some new engine.
The really old bottles which I am seeing on the shelves are the ones that really OUGT to be recalled or sold out at $1/qt... (the M01 "yellow outlined 0W-30")
maybe that's why it is all being recalled... so they can go through it back at the warehouse and weed out the really old ones, and you'll see the "greens" come back to the store after they remove the M01s, or semething.

I was told by AZ corp. that the AZ's with small oil display's, which is less than 4 5' racks, would not be selling GC. You've got to find an AZ with a big oil display to find it.
OK, I have a scoop; take it for what it's worth, which may or may not be a lot. One of our undercover agents, code-name Odie, in Cologne happened to speak with one of our sources who has been reliable at times, but who has also been dead wrong more times than we'd like. Anyhow, as the story goes, a Hungarian former Formula 2 driver living in a suburb of Chicago took a vacation to Grand Haven Michigan where, while on the beach, he passed a story to a German who happens to run a shipping company in Bremerhaven, and who has handled many shipments of motor oil from Hamburg to the US. The Hamburger passed the story to our contact of questionable reliability while passing through Cologne, who passed the story on to our agent. The Hungarian, speaking in Hungarian by the way, told the Hamburger that Castrol had noted rather unusual sales patterns on 0w30 and started snooping around and found out about...US...the Hungarian referred to us as "Bee-Toag." Well, as the story goes, Castrol started watching this board and when they feel like the moment is right, they create a stir by "recalling" "old" product (they get Exxon-Mobil to particpate too so it is not so obvious and Mobil also benefits from a run by those who like the current version of M1) and Voila! an instant run on the product. Well, the Hamburger admitted that he had seen erratic demand through his shipping firm so he passed the story on to our shady friend, a Frenchman from Dijon (who, as I told you, sometimes doesn't cut the mustard), so he told him the story in German and our "friend" passed the story on to our agent in French who then retold it to us in German. Now with all those polyglottish perambulations and, given the character of our "friend", who knows how much, if any of this is accurate...but I owe it to you to tell you what we are hearing...stay tuned.
The 4 stores I went to all had plenty of 0w-30, and a few of them were the green.
