Does anybody reuse axle nuts? You know, the ones for bearing in hat rotors with nylock threads? I have in the past, just clean everything up and use some thread locker.

I reuse them unless rust was excessive, except none of mine have nylock threads AFAIK.
Thread locker? No. I have never needed thread locker on axle nuts. They go on pretty tight, with a torque wrench. Some have a cotter pin, some need staked which I do with a blunt chisel.

I have been known to beat the ends up a little with a hammer.
Always replace nylocks that goes for those sometimes used on tie rod ends and other parts. Heating them to soften the plastic and reuse is not something you want to get into the habit of doing.
