Have a 1997 avalon 3.0 that is missing between 45 and 55 mph around 1500 rpm we have got several codes and changedMAS ,o2 sensor and cleaned EGR valve and changed sensor that controls the solenoid on EGR after computer is reset to null car runs find for about 100 miles then the inputs cause a lean condition and the miss is back. This is only at light throttle pressure. Any ideas where to go next or has anyone had this problem???

I had a similiar condition to this and it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. I was getting a lean fuel code. This was a 99 Accord I4 though.

I had a very similar condition once on my Nissan Altima (2.4L 4 cylinder)....it was the intake manifold gasket.

^ Pretty much, when I had my code read at Autozone the guy said it could be the fuel injectors, fuel pump, fuel filter on and on. Went to the Honda dealer and there was tsb on it and less than $100 out the door. Never an issue again.

IIRCF, these have dual ended coil packs (3 for 6cyls) that are sensitive on the end that fires "backwards". The coil + wires may be weak or a good set of plugs that are designed for backwards fireing installed on the backwards cylinders may help.

GM did it(3800), Ford does it, Fuji/subaru does it ~EJ25 and Denso is nowhere near an ACDelco/Packard braintrust.

The wire comes off the stick and winds to the other bank.
