What color bottle do you like best? Your car will never know the difference...

Yep. I saw that when I pulled up and jumped on 2 with the 15w40 and stp filters. The other option was the special at O'Reillys with their house brand at $9.99.

Hmm, I should have looked at the Bosch now that I think about it but I'll be fine since they're basically the same thing.

Mobil Drive Clean (5000 *and* 7500).

I used DC 5k during my break-in period for roughly 5k miles as the first oil I changed to after the Factory Fill. I then used the Mobil Drive Clean 7500 for another 11,500 miles. During this time, I recall stacking up nice with a certain S2000 doing stop light excavation on Westheimer so I know the oil performs and aids in that regard. I will have to qualify all of this by saying that it was the oil I used immediately after the Mobil series at 21,500 on the ODO that was the MC that provided me the greatest asset with which to compete ahem (beat) a certain Supra motor but all of this is neither here nor there as far as your question.

I looked at the back of some Castrol GTX bottles at AAP and saw a "BP" emblem on them. Did BP (gas company) buy castrol?

I have 65qts of Mobil 5000 and 5 quarts of Castol GTX sitting on my shelf from the current AutoZone special. Not to mention about 10 oil filters! IMO, its a pretty good deal for Mobil 5000. 5 qts and oil filter for $8.99. Redundant question: Who really makes the STP oil filters?

Mobil Clean 5000 may have greater sludge-fighting detergency than Q St. Clean 5000 has 16% more detergents than the former Mobil Drive Clean GF-4 formulation (which is only available today in quick lube bulk tanks).
