1998 LS 400 with 70,000 miles. Ran 8 oz of AutoRx in transmission for 1500 miles. I have had this intermittent "jerk" on takeoff from standstill since I bought the car with 30,000 miles. Well, well, I just finished doing a backyard flush this evening, refilled with Toyota Type IV ATF, drove it around to get fluid hot so I could get proper amount of ATF in transmission. Overfilled (why do I always overfill????) and had to suck a little out.

Guess what. So far I've had 20 or so stop and goes with no "jerking." Hmmmm...

I get confused when stuff I buy actually does what it is supposed to...

One of the best feelings I have ever had is when I used Auto-RX in my engine and the seal leak stopped (one of those high mileage oils did not get the job done, and neither did a supplement supposed to stop leaks). I don't think there was much sludge in the engine but the first oil filter used in the cleaning sure seemed to be getting plugged up.

So used to nothing happening when I added something. Add some STP and no change.Kind of different when stuff works.

Hey ~
I have a 1994 Lexus LS400 and I have a rear main seal leak, I REALLY want this thing to seal up. I am 500 miles into the "sealing dosage" (after the 2nd bottle/treatment of Auto-RX) No RX in the oil now, so I guess all I have to do is waite ??? Mystic how long did it take untill your Seal Leak seized ?
Also Gebo, you say Auto-RX in a Lexus transmission is good ?!?! does she shift better, how long did it take to notice the change?
THANKS!
Paul

It was a small leak and I was not watching it too carefully, but by the time I completed the second cleaning it was gone. The directions for use are at the Auto-RX web site. If they have not changed, you drive 750 miles with the first cleaning, with 12 oz of Auto-R and new oil filter and oil. Change the oil filter and oil and drive 750 miles with no Auto-RX-then 12 oz of Auto-RX for another 750 miles. If I remember correctly those were the instructions-may have been some changes since that time. But the seal leak stopped by the end of the second cleaning.

I don't know about your LS but mine would sometimes jerk on take off with just a slight acceleration. I went to a lexus www. and nobody could help me. I figured it was just one of those things I'd have to live with. Anyway, I tried the AutoRx and I don't remember when it cleared up but I know I had the ARx in for 1500 miles. I unhooked the transmission lines where they go into the bottom of the radiator and cranked car and ran at idle until no more ATF came out. I'd then go and add 3 or 4 qts and crank car again and run it until no more ATF came out. I ran 12 quarts of ATF through. Hooked up lines and then adjusted the fluid level in transmission. It still hasn't jerked the first time. I am pleased enough that I'm gonna use it in my other 2 car's transmissions.

1994 LS, I am sorry. I quoted the engine cleaning instructions to you. You need to go to the transmission web site for Auto-RX. You can find out on that page how much Auto-RX to use and also how long to leave it in. Sorry.
