That was my story about my wife and that ---- Oilstop RipOff. If she ever goes back there it will be another RIP story without the Off at the end, catch my meaning. The car has been running like ______! It sounded as if a belt was rubbing or something, there was something in the engine creating drag. It's not a belt but that is the sound kindof. I had tried MMO in the crank and fuel to see if it just needed a little lubrication, and ran techron through the fuel in case that was the issue, it didn't touch the sound. A week ago I poored a bottle of Autorx down there, and yesterday the sound was gone! I have no idea what OilStop put in there, but they totally RIPed us Off. The said it was full sythetic, and if that's true it is another story of ARX working with Syn. Anyhow, going to get some more ARX and do a couple phases. Engine additives that claim to give protection are a joke, you'll never catch me putting that stuff in any of my cars. Only lubrication "additive" you need is oil, or for me straight M1.

It just makes me sick that OilStop oil change was the worse oil change in the history of oil changes, and they charged her 155 bucks. Well ok at least they didn't leave the crank empty which has probably happened a time or two, but still this was a bad one. Good news is there is Autorx to save me again.

Part of me wants to do a short cleaning phase to get whatever that junk is out of my oil, and then follow with another cleaning phase. Another problem is that OilStop didn't put a "reminder" sticker on the windshield so I don't know the oil wear, just that it is very dark. I honestly think they didn't even change the oil. I think they just added the "additive" to my wifes dirty oil and charged her 115 dollars.

Another oil change disaster. I hear these horror stories all the time.

I can't even get anyone in my family to change their oil..
I remember speaking to them, so how often do you change your oil? Oh maybe 2 years ago.. been thinking about doing it some time. No matter how much I explain that they NEED to change it, they look at me like i've had too many beers and change the subject.
I'm waiting for the day I get a call asking to borrow the car, hearing "it's in the shop".

I hope you wrote down the mileage when you added that bottle of ARX. At this point, since you're already invested in the one bottle of ARX, I'd run it out 1,500 more miles before changing your oil.

If you feel the urge you could change out the filter and let us know if you find anything of significance.

Jim- I didn't write the milage down because I decided to just change it in a week or two. Again, I just want to get that additive out, then go straight to a second cleaning phase then a rinse, eventhough since I added the Autorx the engine sounds good. Yeah I know that's not perfect or recommended, but if I do it the other way it's an additional oil change and I aint up for that right now. As is three oil changes coming soon, I will finish the first two and go to M1 plus MD after my phases. Seriously, what would I have done w/o Autorx? The Oilstop additive made my wifes car run like total cr*p with only 13k miles on it. I guess if I didn't have ARX I would have to use some kind of flush, but I'm glad I don't have to worry about it.

All I can do is warn people to never never never use Oilstops PTFE engine additive- Oilstops Junk Additive It's JUNK with a Capital J. Has anyone ever tried it before? I'm going to do a search and find if there are any problems with this stuff, unbeleviably bad stuff. I'm glad I can voice my disguist on BITOG, but I feel real sorry for all the soccer mom's and suckers who just blindly put garbage in their car. Trust me I had a sit down with my wife, and I told her to never get any oil changes anywhere, that is my job. I think I used the words "if" and "divorce"

. I have to be real careful what I say though, she's been walking up hills everyday and her bum is getting as tight as a teenagers. Now she's in charge, humbling stuff when the wifes start working out huh?
