Auto- RX to remove sludge

I have an 1988 Bronco II with 44,700 miles it has used conventional oil since new and was only driven once a week by an old lady before I bought it.(explains the low mileage) I was wondering if auto rx would help clean out the sludge that is probably in my engine from only being driven once a week and having the oil just sit there. Or do you think maybe I should skip the auto rx and just switch to syntetic oil to get rid of the sludge or prevent more from forming? What do you think?

Auto-RX...hopefully, only 1 bottle (treatment) will be necessary. Have you looked down the oil fill cap opening with a flashlight?

Make sure you have sludge in there anyways.

Once-a-week driving does not automatically mean sludge.

If I were you, I would just put a 10W30 HDEO in and be done with it. Aren't Bronco II's somewhat rollover prone?

yes bronco IIs are rollover prone so you have to watch it especially when driving in winds. what is an HDEO?

How often was the oil changed? You could have "junk" from sitting too long and not used enough...

I know that it was changed every 3,000 miles but it still spent a lot of time just sitting around since it was only driven once or twice a week

I honestly think that just switching to synthetic will do the job.

44k in 17 years shouldn't create a sludge problem.

Delo 400, rotella t delvac 1300 some people refer to them as oils ment for diesel engines ...but they are duel purpose .
