Last night at Church one of the elderly members pulled in the parking lot with his chevy lumina's PSF pouring out on the ground , he was unable to steer the vehicle.

After teaching 4 year old Logan a lesson on King Soloman's excellent request for Godly wisdom as young King,( instead of asking for selfish things) we both dove out to the parking lot to assist. Logan and I like this kind of challenge ! Combat Mechanics and Good works combined !!

Al's car had just received a well worn used 3.1 V6 engine replacement for $550. Problem is the metal PSF line was loosely layed too close to the alternator electrical lead and as Al turned into the parking lot he cut/welded a 1/8" hole into the line spewing all the PSF.

No one had too many tools but luckily I had about 6 ounces of Auto-RX for just such a emergency. I procured a piece of old vaccum hose that was split to fit over the hole, then wrapped ( tightly) over the makeshift patch with electric tape. We added the Auto-Rx and about 5 ounces of ancient PSF found in Al's trunk. It was not enough to fill the PS reservoir but it pumped as we started the engine, no leaks, and I warned Al to be very careful as I have seen anything over a couple ounces of Auto-RX absolutely cut any friction or resistance so that the steering wheel is too easy to turn. He drove 15 miles home successfully after services. The pwr steering pump was even quiet after a few moments of moving around in the system even though it was grossly underfilled.

Thanks Auto-RX !!!, For getting Al home, saving his pump and PSF system, and allowing Logan to see how we can help others using our skills that God freely gives.

Just like Wisdom.

Shalom

And the weather is finally nice, so that youngster will learn that the value of service can also mean a great excuse to stand around outside on a Texas early fall evening "not really doing anything".

Good story, thanks for telling it.
