On my 96 Saturn SL2 DOHC with nearly 106,000 miles, I added 9 ounces of Auto-RX about 2000 miles into a fill of Chevron 5w30 SM.

At 3,000 miles into the fill and 1000 miles on the Auto-RX, the oil was 1/2 qt low. I topped it up with more Chevron 5w30.

Yesterday, at 4,000 miles into the fill, it was only 7-8 oz low. I topped it up again, and will run it until 5000 miles before I do an oil/filter change to initiate the rinse phase.

Has anyone else noticed a similar drop in oil consumption during the clean phase of Auto-RX?

Critic, glad you have seen some improvement. I am 1500 miles into a rinse, following a 2400 mile clean, and have not noticed reduced consumption yet.

I had same observation on 97 Altima. It was starting to burn/leak? a little bit of oil. Maybe 1/2-3/4 quart in 3k.
I had almost 0 consumption during the clean phase. I have 0 consumption now (2.5K into rinse phase). This weekend I am putting Amsoil in in hopes of not changing oil this winter.

Thats good to know. I'm considering using RX on my 97 SW2 with 170k. It burns about a quart every 3-4k. Any updates?

The first time I did an ARX treatment on my '95 Civic w/53,000 miles at the time it used to use a pint or so every 4000 miles. Consumption dropped to zero.

Yes, I have noticed it.

I'm in the rinse phase of my first treatment on my 99 Saturn SW1. I can say that the oil consumption has gone down and the performance has improved but I don't see an improvement in fuel economy. I think I am driving it a little harder though so maybe that's the reason.

I have nearly 6000 miles on this oil fill now, about 4500 of it with Auto-RX. I will do an oil and filter change when I return home for Thanksgiving. The oil should have about 7000 miles on it then.

I'm hoping ARX will help decrease my oil consumption/loss. In the last few months, my consumption on my 102k engine has doubled to about 1qt/1k miles, and I didn't switch oil brands or weights or anything. I guess I'll find out in about 5k miles. Will post results.

I've got about 500 miles left on my rinse phase, and for the first time my truck has consumed some oil. Judging from the dipstick, it only looks to be between 6-10 ounces. Not a big deal, but it was always right on the full mark when it was time to change. By the way, I ran the clean phase for 1500 miles (before application changes were made) and have extended the rinse to 3000 miles (per Frank's recommendation).
