I have a 1994 Nissan pickup with a 3.0 V-6, 4x4, and automatic transmission. The whole thing has about 108,000 miles on it and is bone stock. The transmission has been sort of soft and not down shifting quickly since I bought it. In reverse it kicks butt but in 1st it seems like it is dragging. A rebuild or new transmission would cure the problem but I have an extra bottle of Auto Rx and thought about putting 6 oz in. This transmission has no filter, just a mesh screen. Has anyone used the A Rx in their auto transmission? What were the results? Could I leave the A Rx in semi-permanently? Oh btw I had the system completely flushed about a year ago and the fluid is still nice and pink.

Thanks

I used auto-rx in my camry's transmission. The shifting improved quite a bit.

SBC350, how long did you leave it in? My fluid is about a year old ( less than 10k miles) and is still bright pink hence my desire NOT to change out at 1k like Franck says to. The only concern is that the esters could over time (say a year) do something (not sure what but a new transmission is COSTLY).
