Finished the first treatment in my 1985 Toyota 4x4 22RE. I am the original owner, religiously changing the oil at 3-5k intervals using mostly either Chevron or Havoline conventional 10w30 oil, and Fram PH-43 (oversize) filter. Engine runs great but uses oil. First time using any oil treatment in this motor.
The drained oil was definitely more "black" than usual. Too early to tell if oil consumption has been reduced and if mileage has gone up. But I can report all those engine noises, rattle, clicks, clacks, etc. have been significantly reduced. I don't think this engine has been this quiet since ... ever?
Onward towards 1,500 miles with 10w30 Havoline dino and a Supertech ST-3614 filter. I've tried the Supertech filter before, but had valve clatter at startup. Be interesting to see if I can use the Supertech filter after an Auto-RX treatment.
