Put the auto-rx and drive the mileage no matter how long it takes to accumulate the mileage. I have a 68 Firebird that I drive only 100-1500 miles per year. It was an elder ladies car that was driven only locally. Pretty dirty motor over the 30 years of service. I had the initial dose of Auto-Rx in for 8 months before I had accumulated 600 miles. It did a super cleaning job and minimized all oil leaks.My second dose was put in 9 months ago and is still in the motor, I am approaching 1000 miles. I am thrilled with my results. I had replaced valve cover gaskets about a year ago, and what I see now on the top end of the motor is beautiful compared to what it was.

I'm glad to know you're pleased with Auto-Rx performance in your vehicles. My point was if you followed the Auto-Rx 'Application Instructions' you would have been estatic. We, at Auto-Rx, are surely not "disappointed" - hope you will buy again and get it right and many thanks for being the person who got us to design a web link on the home page covering different type of Auto-Rx applications. We believe this will be helpful for everyone.

I put a whole bottle in both of my cars that have 5 quart sumps. They did not blow up.
sounds like 1 oz in my PS system and the rest in my motor...
actually thought about 1-2 oz in my transmission and just leaving it...but went with lubegard red instead.

No it will not hurt your motor but the 3oz maintenance dose would be a plus for your engine after the cleaning and rinse phase it will continue cleaning slowly Brian's maintenance thread post clearly shows that.

This Auto-RX stuff is such an easy process. The real message is don't take advise from well meaning friends. Follow Frank's methods exactly. It works and works well. It's a product that does exactly what it says it does and that is something that make this a good deal. Don't invent anything. Someone else has done all the experimenting and others have proven the system. Did I forget to mention, follow the instructions. And Frank, thank you for bringing a great product to the market. You're a good guy.
gotcha, 1oz in the PS and 8 oz in the oil....leaving a perfect amoount left for the maintenance dose...
