This filter and some CARQUEST Syn 5w20 was off a friends 2018 RAM 1500 “classic” 4WD truck with HEMI. The new “redesigned ram 1500’s look like filth to me


Miles on filter and oil was 5,580. I did oil change mid summer 2021 for him. Doesn’t drive truck much. Put a Napa gold made in 2020 and some M1 5w20 from “the stash” in and on. 21k on odometer. Wavy, but no tears; I’d say Puro influence? In pic looking inside can; there was fine carbon bits so you folks know. Had flash on and my not be able to see that

No doubt this AE made by Purolator. Would have been curious to see date code format. AE construction seems all over the map (or perhaps globe) now. No awards for straight pleats, but no tears, jobber tier filter, got the job done.

The code was almost totally wiped off some end. It was February, 10, 2021 as I took pic before installing filter
