I had considered that as well. But, one never knows what these guys are into these days. Maybe the one driver will split whatever he gets with the other 7 folks. But, you are correct, it is usually one on one or the car load of folks is the "victim".

As I understand it the company insurance is covering the guy in front of me at their digression and it is not going against me as my fault. The adjuster said it's not enough to bother fighting. Also the adjuster told me that welfare is supplying this guy with a rent controlled apartment and buying him another car for transportation and giving him a food stamp credit card and this guy is an illegal!!! I called the welfare office and was politely told to but out of things that did not concern me. When I told the lady it was my business because I'm paying the bill she told me I was wrong. She said the county supplies the money and not to worry about it. I wonder if she is brain dead or just stupid. Are all young people like this lady I talked to. I hope not.

This reminds me of why I stop about a car length from the guy in front of me. Old habit from days when a quick go-around-get-away was a prudent precaution.
I concur with all bad things said here about illegals. Find'em, deport'em, and purchase (on sale, no doubt) all the old parts of the Berlin wall. We can and put it on the border for a quick head start on the entire wall.

Rig a few disposable cameras inside your car, pointing out the windows, so you instantly take pictures of your surroundings in case of an accident.
There is a solution to the illegal workers problem. Someone can start a certification company, like the ISO 9000 or whatever it is, or "organic" food. The label would certify that all of the employees of a company are citizens, or legally allowed to work in the US. Then, only buy products from companies that have the certification.

It was a setup. The Accord had seven people in it so that it is impossible to positively ID which was the driver. If one or two, or even all get caught, they get arrested, charged, and released. Because they have no form of identification on them, a positive ID is not possible when they are arrested, so they use a different name and date of birth with their next contact with law enforcement so that their warrants from missed trials don't come up. Even when law enforcement catches them in the act, there is nothing that can be done. ICE will not deport. Do not ask how I know . . . I just know, and I am extremely frustrated.

It (and us) can survive for only so long before the resources that support it run out or the patience of citizens that are screwed on a daily basis run out and take things into their own hands like the old geezer that shot the robbers.

Do any of you remember the guy who drove his new car to the factory and poured a gallon of gas on it to protest the poor quality of (I think) his Mark-something or other?? That too was a "I'm mad as heck and I'm not going to take it anymore!!" type thing.
