I'm using Amsoil 10w 40 high performance Synthetic oil in my LPG car and was wondering if the Amsoil Series 3000 HDD 5w30 would also be suitable to use? I do 75%/25% highway/city driving. BTW the car runs great on Amsoil with 12 month OIC's.

denver1,
the specs that I read in my boss' manual stated 15w40 SH/CF (required both categories).

Delo400, DelvacMX for 15w40.
Delvac 1, or the Amsoil you are running for a synth.

I don't think that a 30 weight would be good for warranty.

(BTW, I used to live in Salisbury East, and before that Wingfield).

Why do you want to use HDD oil in a propane fueled engine. You don't need extra cleaning with propane its far cleaner then gas let alone diesel fuel. Why not use Amsoil's CNG oil. LPG is much more closely related to CNG.

Ford expressly require CF/SH in these engines, and stipulate 15w40.

I don't know how much is in it, but a sulfur compound is added to the propane to make leaks "sniffable".
