Now the do-gooders are trying to argue that a reduction in firearm ownership results in less criminals holding them, as they can't be stolen if they aren't privately owned.

Think about it. An untrained shotter gunning from the hip in a confined space manages to expertly shoot everyone in the head. Even those in a movng vehicle. The FBI using their best trained weapons experts could not get anywhere the kill ratio Bryant was supposed to have done. There's a lot more. Google it. Remember the statement "there won't be a gun buyback till there's a massacre in Tasmania" how convenient.

Full statement Dec 1987 "There will never be uniform gun laws in Australia until there is a massacre in Tasmania." Barry Unsworth, New South Wales Labour Premiere, spoken at a special meeting in Hobart. Reported by the Sun Herald edition of 5 May 1996.

Yeah, a few years after that, I heard Unsworth speak at a uni function...bleh.

Is it true that the Tas Govt bought a 28 berth refrigerated morgue truck shortly before the event that only ever got used once ?

Do you guys have a link to what you are talking about? I'm not following... Sounds like an Aussie thing, but the FBI was mentioned.

Tempest, in 1996, a mentally retarded bloke purchased an AR15 that had been handed to the Police on the mainland (amongst other stuff).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Arthur_massacre

He then massacred 36 people (largest homicide in the world), as Sprintman has stated, predominantly head shots from the hip. Apparently his accuracy and the number of hits per round used placed him among the best in the world, which is the reference to the FBI.

in 1987, the premier of NSW was trying to ban guns in our state in their entirety, and made the statement about no uniform gun laws until there's a massacre in Tasmania.

In 1996 there was such a massacre, and the Federal Government pushed through a set of laws the detail of which indicates that it was already drafted, waiting for a turn in public opinion (like a lot of controversial legislation is, waiting for the right time)

At onepoint he was supposedly upstairs shooting people at the same time he was downstairs on the only phone talking to the police. He's better than Superman
