ATV filter relief valve psi question

I picked up a purolator filter L14612 for my polaris ATV and it fit and works great from what I can tell and it comes with a anti drain valve. It also has its relief valve pressure set at 14-18 psi. I go to the purolator web site and they call for a ML16819 filter that does not have a anti drain back valve and the relief valve is set at 9-12 psi.

Is this anything to worry about? The oil that is used is 0w40.

I don't think the ADBV would affect anything negatively, but could help. Depending on the location of the filter that is.
It seems like the bypass is slightly high. Probably close enough though. I might switch to the other. I'm not sure its really close..
I used a PL14612 on my Raptor , the stock filter has the same bypass pressure. The PL14610 is even bigger but would stick out really far, mines right by my foot peg.
Ironically my car uses the same type filter, but I use the longer one on it. There used to be an OLD part # for this filter I found on the net which I couldn't find at the store. One day i was sitting there like this filter looks like it would fit my ATV

No, IMHO. The "standard" bypass ratings vary from filter man to filter man. Wix 8-12, PureONE 12-17, etc. It's to limit the stress on the media, IMO. There are some oddball, "installation specific", filters that have outlandish bypass settings (like some VW @ 30 psid) ..but they surely have a reinforced and more substantial media to withstand the stress. I think that most users change out their filter before it ever becomes an issue. JMO.

The OEM Polaris filters have an anti-drainback valve, but I don't know what the bypass PSI is.
