My NAPA sells ATP transmission filters and I can get Wix from another place. Which company would provide better filters?

ATP is better usually, both are probably made in China, check the country of origin in the store if ones not China buy it. What's the transmission model?

The ATP filters I have got from NAPA have all been USA made where as the WIX I have got were the Filtran filters from the former Sealed Power conglomerate and have all been made in china

The made in China Filtran is the best made in China filter though even though they aren't quite the same as when they were made in the USA it's a better choice than most white box parts.

i got a napa atp filter last week for my 4l60e it said made in the usa and was the exact same brand as the factory filter i took out

We use lots of WIX filters also with no trouble and I know they just resell trans filters from a Filtran manufacturer I just was making a note of Filtrans switch to china about 7 or 8 years ago.
I just wish thet had not switched but I really don't have a say in it.

That's good that means it's a allomatic just like the Napa 4T65e filters. Triple edge sells the allomatic on their Web Store for the 4t65/4l60 if Napa ever stops carrying it

Dave from triple edge noted that the made in China Filtran is supposed to be the same but the fitment isn't as snug as the allomatic which makes the allomatic superior

Looking for a filter for a 4L60E or 4L80E. Have to get under to check which pan it has.

Should be the 4l80e

That year can come with either the 4L60E or the 4L80E, I'm not sure what determines what model transmission you got but if you have a Napa close by that would be my first stop because you can inspect the filter and return it if it's not the Allomatic.

If you have a 4L60E and shop online you can buy the filter here

It looks like somewhere between 97-98 was the transition from 4L60 to 4L80 if I'm not mistaken since the filter is a different model for 98+

Just curious, I have to get the same thing for the same transmission, was the gasket a rubber type or cork?
